Fundraiser description
We only have one Mother, and I will fight for my Mother’s life will all my strength. Our peaceful and calm world started to fall apart in spring 2017 when my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer. Straight away radio and chemo therapy was launched to prevent cancer expansion. In September 2017 my mum had an operation which should have eliminated the cancerous tumour on her bowel but that didn’t happened due to diagnosis in middle of the surgery doctors found out that the tumour cannot be removed and they went ahead installing a stoma.
Two months after operation mum had to go back to hospital due to after surgery complications. Since then every single need of going to the toilet is a nightmare, unbelievable pain and tears in her eyes. A big rapture has grown on her bowel and another sets of chemo did not bring any positive changes to stop cancer growing, now it’s been found she has serious metastases to her internal organs.
All together she had 28 cycles of irradiation and 20 chemo treatments, and this June she has heard the worst news anyone can hear – that there is no further treatment available.
Immediately after these news, we started to look around Poland in hope to find a doctor that might be able to help her live a longer life and beat cancer.
After few days searching mum has a visit with a doctor from Wroclaw who said he will qualify her for EchoLaser palliative care treatment. No other treatment can be done at that stage of her illness.
EchoLaser treatment is her last chance to live a longer life, but the time is running out,
Her first treatment must be done as soon as possible in this year, second one 6 weeks after.
I truly believe there is some good people out there who will help us win this battle and my mother will live longer.
