Bruno Samborski is a very small, brave boy, who was born on March 6th, 2018.
Unfortunately he is diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS).
It is a rare congenital heart condition.
It means that the left side of his tiny heart has not developed properly. Hypoplastic means ‘not developed’.
(Left heart means the structure on the left side of the heart.)
The first stage of surgery, called the Norwood procedure, Bruno had two days after he was born.

The next stage (out of three) is usually performed about six months after the Norwood and it’s called the Glenn operation.

It’s goal is to divert half of the blood to the lungs when circulation through the lungs no longer needs as much pressure from the ventricle.

It is a serious open-heart surgery.

Bruno’s parents despite everything they have been through since their boy was diagnosed (including doctors suggestions about the abortion), are very happy to have their dream little baby.

They found the Universitatsklinikum Munster (Germany) where Bruno can get better chance to survive.

Professor Edward Malec, who works there, is a world famous children’s cardiac surgeon.

He is also a specialist in the area of HLHS. He agreed to take care of Bruno.

The Universitatsklinikum Munster calculated costs of all of the procedures.

It is 37 000 Euro. That is  169 256 PLN (Polish zloty).

This is an enormous amount of money that the family does not have.

It will only be possible with the help of others to give Bruno his chance for life.

Although the operation should be done in next few months, Bruno's heart may not be able to withstand it.

It might be necessary at any time.

Please help the parents provide the best possible way for their son's open-heart surgery.
