Operacja serca w Niemczech - poród i pierwszy etap korekcji wady

Bruno Samborski, 3 years

Skawina, małopolskie

Wrodzona wada serca: HLHS, restrykcyjny otwór owalny

Started: 08 January 2018
Ends: 14 February 2018

Bruno Samborski

Bruno is a very small, brave boy, who is supposed to be born on March 5th, 2018. Unfortunately he is diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). It is a rare congenital heart condition. It means that the left side of his tiny heart has not developed properly. (Hypoplastic means ‘not developed’. Left heart means the structure on the left side of the heart.) That is why he needs an open-heart surgery.

His parents, despite everything they have been through since their boy was diagnosed (including doctors suggestions about the abortion), are very happy to have their dream little baby. They did their best to find proper medical care in Poland where they live. Local consultants suggested C-section in one hospital and later transport to another one where Bruno would wait for the surgery. How long? Nobody knows.

Bruno’s parents found the Universitatsklinikum Munster (Germany) where Bruno can get better chance to survive. Professor Edward Malec, who works there, is a world famous children’s cardiac surgeon. He is also a specialist in the area of HLHS. He agreed to take care of Bruno.

The Universitatsklinikum Munster calculated costs of all of the procedures. It is 72.000 Euro. That is 350. 000 PLN (Polish zloty). This is an enormous amount of money that the family does not have. It will only be possible with the help of others to give Bruno his biggest chance for life.

The money must be paid until February 14.  Please help the parents provide the best possible way to deliver their son to this world.
