In memory of Helen Murray

My mum, Helen Murray, was diagnosed with cancer in March and sadly passed away on the 13th July.

Obviously, living abroad and not being able to help was extremely tough for me but I guess not as tough as it must have been for my brother and sister at home. Words will never truly express my gratitude to those nurses, carers, family and friends who visited, cared for and supported her during her illness, especially my brother and sister who were there for her day in day out, 24 hours a day.

If I can now do at least one small thing to honour the memory of my mum it is this. I have signed up to Cancer Research's Dryathlon® campaign in the UK and will be abstaining from alcohol for the month of September in order to raise money for their cause. Of course, as I live in Poland I would also like to raise money for cancer causes in Poland and have decided to use this campaign to also raise funds for Fundacja W związku z rakiem.

If you can help me do this by sponsoring me I would be forever grateful. The amount isn't important, and there is no actual target, as every penny counts and will go towards the research and development of cancer treatment in Poland in the hope that one day they will find a cure for this horrible illness.
