Will you join our boat expedition? Every kilometer can make a real difference. Join Leszek, Rafał and Patrick. These three men are working in WithSecure company. They love sport and are keen to make a positive change to the world around them. Together they are willing to embark on a 7 day boat expedition. Starting on the 5th of May our trinity want to travel from Poznań in the Greater Poland region up to the Polish seaside, and the Baltic Sea.
They want to cover 500 km by kayak and canoe in order to increase social awareness about the loneliness among the elderly people as well as to raise some funds to cover the cost of holidays for the elderly people who are being looked after by our charity. Can you see this radiant smile? We would like to introduce Mrs Halina who has just enjoyed her very first kayaking trip. She was mesmerised by the beautiful landscapes, sparks of sunshine but first and foremost she loved the fellowship with our volunteer. Mrs Halina is one of the elderly people who are being looked after by our charity. Thanks to the donations we were in the position to organise this activity for her.
Did you know that 13 percent of elderly never leave their house? One of the reasons behind this is their profound loneliness. They really dream about at least one day with fellow human beings in a nice and joyful atmosphere.
Whatever the destination, park, museum or indeed the kayaking expedition, the most important aspect for the elderly is the experience of fellowship. Your donation can facilitate these joyful moments for the lonely elderly people.
