My reality relies on a disease… Please help me fight for a better future!

Due to my health problems, I stopped being carefree long ago. Instead, I have been fighting to live as normally as possible and not let the disease take away what I have left…

I am a person with disabilities suffering from Eisenmenger syndrome, a complication of a congenital heart defect that causes irregular blood flow in the heart and lungs. As a result, blood pressure gradually and permanently rises in the lungs’ arteries causing pulmonary arterial hypertension, which is life-threatening. 

Any strain might be fatal. Although it was hard to make peace with that at first, I had to say goodbye to sports and other physical activities. 

I submitted to a battle with the disease, the treatment, hospital visits, and doctor's appointments. I don’t know what the future will bring, and I’m scared, but I refuse to surrender… 

Basic methods to fight the disease include constantly monitoring my health condition, taking medication, and undergoing rehabilitation. The latest examinations have shown that I require heart and lung transplants. They are my only treatment solution. Such procedures used to be too complicated. There are only a few medical centers or specialists who can perform it. 

I don’t have any other choice, though. It is my last resort… 

Surgery will be demanding and require constant trips to hospitals in Poznań and Wrocław, followed by complex physical therapy, which I cannot afford. I need to ask you for support. I want to be financially prepared when my treatment begins. It is my last chance for a normal life!
