When Adaś was born, it turned out that as a result of a congenital disorder one of his legs is shorter than the other.Orthopaedists were convinced that surgical treatment of the disorder is not possible and recommended amputating the limb, which was to ensure better conditions for a prosthesis insertion. It was only Dr. Paley who presented a different scheme – 3 surgeries which were supposed to make it possible for Adaś to walk on his own legs without the amputation or the prosthetic limb. Adaś has already undergone the first of these surgeries and is about to have the second one. His Mum is a single mother and brings up Adam, as well as his brother on her own. That is why she really needs to be supported in her fight for her son’s well-being. She needs good people’s help. This family can’t be left alone!
