Fundraiser description
When I got pregnant with my long-awaited second child, I never would have expected such a dramatic turn of events. After all, you always assume you will give birth to a perfectly healthy baby…
Unfortunately, Alan was born with an extra copy of chromosome 21 which has been causing many difficulties.
My son has Down syndrome. Since the beginning of our journey with the disease, I’ve been fighting for his developmental milestones. Every week brings complications, like viral infections, or inflammatory diseases…
Currently, Alan can hardly speak due to hearing loss (he can say a maximum of four words!). He will turn 6 in April, and my only dream is to hear him say what bothers him, and what food he wants to eat and talk to us and the other children.

My son loves playing with his peers. Unfortunately, his condition makes it hard for him to communicate which he finds frustrating and painful… As a result, he throws objects, picks on others, and has difficulty falling asleep….
On top of that, Alan has epilepsy which caused damage to his brain. Fortunately, he’s on medications that help him control the symptoms.
He must take them every day, though. I pay for all private medical appointments, laboratory tests, and medications from my own pocket. My son also requires rehabilitation camps which I cannot afford!
I wish Alan started to speak. The camps would help him and make his life better and easier. I would very much appreciate every donation that will contribute to my son’s normal development!
