Fundraiser description
When Ala was born, we didn’t know what to do. Spina bifida, hydrocephalus, paraplegia, neurogenic bladder, dislocation of hips… her body didn’t look like standard newborn. But Alicja has dealt with the fate. She has been grown up, and things have begun to take a positive turn. This girl is a wonderful example of how helpers’ quick reaction and their faith have made, that one chance gave another.

When little Ala fell into health trouble, her family found in a hardship. Then you helped in this first, the most important months. The mother with the group of helpers have rehabilitated her daughter. A lot of things have been achieved. Alicja can sit, and her head although still looks a little bit deformed, grows properly (She has begun to speak). It’s a success, that hardly anyone expected.
There is still a wall hard to overcome. Legs still have no sensation, and what’s next they don’t work. Alicja knows for what she has got them, and her mother still says that one day, she will run like her sister. Only sometimes she wrongs leg with the teether, and damaged nerves are not able to send the information about pain.

Ala’s mother has set herself the goal, to do everything that is possible, to mitigate the consequences of difficult start. Transplant of stem cells is going to lead to the restoration of this destroyed. If it works , Alicja will be able to regain sensation, and this means first independent step. It’s like cross the sea… First grafting already on February 17. We must do this!
Life without wheelchair. For most of us it’s obvious, for someone impossible, like a dream about flying. This little girl has shown, that if you want, you can do so much. It makes no sense to complain. The most important is to have a plan. And Ala has it. She just needs you , to realize it and stand on her feet. Would you help her?
