With your support, Alina’s everyday life may become better – help our daughter!

Our daughter’s history has been very difficult from the beginning. Her first health problems started when she was almost 6 months old. She was diagnosed with cancer! Our little child underwent chemotherapy, which was very challenging due to her age. We were really scared for her, but we had to fight for her life!

She had sepsis and several blood transfusions. Her condition was frightening... she had seizures and her body was becoming more and more worn out each day. We were not ready to accept losing our child! In 2013, we decided to come to Poland to save Alina!

Her immune system was very weakened. Additionally, cerebral palsy caused by treatment complications was so severe that she could not even sit on her own when she was 3 years old. Fortunately, her condition improved, and the disease is in remission. After 6 months of treatment in Poland, she started sitting up on her own and then crawling. At last, there was hope!

After rehabilitation, she started walking with the help of canes. After many years of hard work, small and big progress became the most important for us, as parents. We have been constantly looking for new options to provide more mobility to Alina. The support of our family and friends allowed us to gather the funds necessary for feet surgery. The procedure was successful – there was a risk that her feet could break and it was reduced. But it was just the beginning of another fight...

Due to post-surgical rehabilitation she was absent at school, unable to learn and was not in touch with her peers. She could not accept her disability and limitations. There were difficult emotions and thoughts, great sadness and helplessness… Alina was admitted to a psychiatric ward where she was diagnosed with autism spectrum.

We started searching for a proper school where our daughter would have better conditions. There was no place for her at public schools. Fortunately, we were able to find a private school with therapy. We want Alina to finish 7 and 8 grade at this school because she is well cared for there. As parents, we have the support of the psychologists and teachers from this school.

Our daughter needs rehabilitation, rehabilitation equipment, consistent psychotherapy as well as proper activities and specialist care. These needs are very costly and we find it more and more difficult to cope with all the expenses. We are doing everything we can to provide Alina with everything she needs, but we cannot do it on our own. We are asking for your support, so she can fight for a better tomorrow!
