Don’t let the princess spend her life on a wheelchair - Amelka needs your help again!

Amelka has blond curly hair and big innocent blue eyes. They show no pain, hurt or the sentence placed upon her by ill fate. She does not know that if we fail, she will never be strong enough to lift her body out of the wheel chair. She looks like a little angel. For me, she is the spark of life that I will fight for.

I found out that I would give birth to a disabled child in week 29 of my pregnancy. The number of diseases mentioned by the doctor was terrifying. The prognosis was very cautious. I took steroids to help Amelka's lungs develop. It was only after her birth that we found what we were to face. Spina bifida, hydrocephalus, hip dislocation, foot distortion and neurogenic bladder were all diagnosed when my baby was born. Earlier, I was hoping for a miracle. That she would be healthy. When I held her in my arms, I knew that her sick body had not healed in a magical way. Yet, she stole my heart. I was blessed with the miracle of this little life.

Already in the first day of her life, Amelka underwent a  myelomeningocele repair surgery. Another surgery was held 38 days later, and once again she was placed on a cold operating table. Unfortunately, during this long hospital stay, Amelka was infected with bacteria that caused meningitis. The complication could turn Amelka into a plant, or even kill her.

She was six months old when she defeated the adversary that threatened her life. She showed the world that she had a strong will to fight in her. Sadly, Amelka's body has no strength. She is paralysed from the waist down, she cannot toddle along when we go for a walk, and any toy that is out of her hand's reach is too far away. She admires the world from a wheelchair or my arms and I do not know how I will explain to her one day that she would not be able to run with her peers, or that she would never be like them. I was looking for help for my daughter and I found a stem cell therapy. Her legs, which were considered dead, come back to life! Amelka's body responded very quickly to the previous stem cell transplants. I know a girl, my daughter's namesake, who is six years old and can walk with a walking frame after the stem cell therapy. For this to be the case with my Amelka, we need to continue the therapy. You have already helped us once and we will never forget it. Today, unfortunately, I have to ask for help again. Living with a disabled child is a huge cost. I do my best for Amelia. I have devoted my whole life to her. However, at the same time, it is hard to make money that would pay for such expensive treatment.

I do not want my daughter to get weaker. I wish she had the strength to lift herself and hug me with her tiny arms. I would like her to be able to play alone and maybe even take a few steps one day. I will do all it takes to make Amelka's life happy, but in the fight for her health I need you ...
