Help Andrey Fight Recurrent Anaplastic Ependymoma – Urgent Treatment Needed
Our beloved son Andrey was first diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor — anaplastic ependymoma (grade III) — in November 2019. His journey has been long, painful, and incredibly brave.

After his first brain surgery in Abu Dhabi, doctors could not remove the entire tumor. Andrey began two cycles of chemotherapy, but because the remaining tumor was still dangerous, he was referred to South Korea.
In March 2020, at Samsung Medical Center, he underwent a second surgery, followed by radiotherapy in July 2020.
For some time, we hoped the worst was behind us.
But in May 2024, doctors found a new mass in his right cerebral hemisphere — a new tumor in almost the same area. On June 20, 2024, he had his third tumor resection in Abu Dhabi, but again, the surgeons could not remove everything. He was sent to Madrid, Spain, where on October 9, 2024, he underwent a fourth brain surgery at Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital, followed by proton therapy at Quirónsalud Proton Center starting October 29, 2024.

For several months, we monitored post-treatment changes, hoping for stability.
However, in September 2025, MRI scans showed growth of the right cerebellar lesion and a new nodule in the craniocervical region.
A tumor board including specialists from Tawam Hospital, Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, and guidance from the Cincinnati Hospital brain team confirmed our worst fear: the cancer has returned once again.
In October 2025, Andrey was hospitalized due to severe headaches. Doctors told us that they could not offer any further surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy. They recommended only palliative and comfort care.
A second opinion at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital in Dubai confirmed the same.
But as parents, we refuse to give up.

We contacted St. Joan Children’s Hospital in Barcelona, and they have accepted Andrey for further treatment — including three additional brain surgeries and one year of MEMMAT therapy, a newer chemotherapy approach showing hope for recurrent ependymoma.
Right now, Andrey is at home, waiting for this life-saving treatment. He is in pain every day, and we can only give him paracetamol to ease his discomfort. We are racing against time.
This treatment is extremely expensive, and we cannot cover it on our own.
We are asking for your help to save our son's life. Every donation, every share, every message of support means more than words can express. Please help give Andrey a chance at life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
