Help for Ania!

Ania is a wonderful woman, a trained paramedic, Mother of two super daughters and has been fighting malignant breast cancer for over 2 years. Passionate about sports, she covered thousands of kilometres on bike, without giving it up during her chemotherapy and radiation therapy, as it was a form of release for her during treatment. She fought quietly, alone, without asking for help. For each new stage of treatment, she approached the task head on. All the time without giving up her professional work, she underwent various procedures and surgeries – she thus far has under-went a bilateral breast amputation, removal of ovaries and lymph nodes from the groin. In the middle of 2021, the first strong pains located in the spine radiating to the legs appeared. Diagnosis by phone – the so-called Teleadvice – sciatica. Ania was treated for sciatica 3 times, and her requests for additional tests were ignored by the statement that she should not look for metastases. The fourth time it was decided to have additional diagnostics, a CT scan showed the spread of cancer to the bones. It was detected in almost every bone. The largest clusters are located in the spine, ribs, femoral bone, hip bone and pelvis. But also on the sternum, collarbone, and skull bones. There has already been a compression fracture of the vertebra detected and there is a high probability of further fractures. At this point, Ania moves only in a corset and always on crutches with muscle atrophy occurring. Ania needs immediate rehabilitation combined with targeted pain management. There is also a chance to save the spine and the femur, but for this she needs to go to specialists, the deadlines from the National Health Fund are too far away to wait.  Through an oxygen hyperbaric treatment, transfusions, there can be a significant improvement to Ania’s quality of life.
