Kochani,

otrzymanej pomocy.

Fundraiser description

One moment, a terrible accident wiped out all of my plans, hopes and intentions. It made everything that mattered to me meaningless. Fighting became the only sense of my life.

Firstly, I was fighting for my life, later on… I was fighting for mobility, which was something completely natural for me, until now…

If I only could turn back time, take this corner differently, take control over my car, predict braking distance… If I could foresee the consequences ... Now, all I can do is to be asking myself “why”.

What happened cannot be undone. I need to live, right here, right now. I will bear the consequences of these few seconds for the rest of my life.

Anna Sosnowska

It’s been a while since the accident happened but thinking about it still keeps tearing my eyes.

I do not remember the very moment of the accident, I lost consciousness quickly, I woke up in the hospital, in a completely new reality, without feeling in my legs...Mauled, injured, bummed. It seemed that I found myself in a hopeless situation, that this will last forever.

Doctors initially didn't want to give me unnecessary hopes, they didn't say much.

I was broken. At the age of 24 I missed the chance for everything… Independent movement became a dream. I was falling in despair more and more. I didn’t believe that there is a future for me. At this moment, when I was on the verge of giving up, my family saved me. It was them, who pulled me out of the abyss and gave me hope, they became the motivation for me to fight.

After a brief moment of hesitation, I decided to act. Rehabilitation is a tedious, difficult and painful process. I believed that if I was 100% involved in it, I would see results. And the results came! Long-awaited, paid for with suffering and tears. My body begins to work, the first symptoms of improvement appear. Doctors shyly say that further rehabilitation may make me stand on my feet. Hope has entered my heart again! I feel energy and motivation to act.

Unfortunately, there are more obstacles on the way. Due to the fact that I am not fully functional again, I cannot work. I am a teacher and my job is working with young children. I am unable to keep up with the little volcanoes of energy. In my condition, it is impossible to fulfill my profession. I dream of returning to work, the possibility of experiencing children's joy caused by exploring the world. For me, this job is my passion. Until the day of the accident, I was a very active person. I was in constant motion. I ran, swam, and loved winter sports. Overnight, the possibility of movement was brutally taken from me, and I had to learn to accept that fact. It's difficult, but this life presents me with enough challenges. The biggest of them is the collection of funds necessary for my rehabilitation. This has already consumed my and my family's savings. I cannot count on more help, rehabilitation provided without the National Health Fund does not give me a chance to continue with my progress. I need help!

My future is in your hands. Sounds lofty? Unfortunately, I have no chance of any other help, I have to trust that you will help me get on my feet. That my dreams will be at hand and the accident will not end my life plans forever.
