Surgery is the only solution... Antoś cannot wait any longer!

My beloved son's life is at stake, and I am doing my best to save him. Although I feel exhausted at times, I cannot give up. Antoś was born prematurely with a rare congenital condition. The only chance for his recovery is an expensive surgery in the USA, which I cannot afford! I must do everything to save him, though, so I am begging you for support!

Here is Antoś story:

At one week old, he was diagnosed with Hirschsprung's disease. The doctors almost immediately performed an ostomy surgery. He was so tiny! It was painful watching him go through this...

Six months later, he required another surgical procedure to close the stoma and connect the intestine to the rectum/anus. As a result, my son lost over 50% of his large intestine! A week later, due to a leaky gut syndrome, he developed sepsis and had to fight for his life again! 

I thought that nightmare would never end... Constant questions about why it happened to us did not bring much relief... Meanwhile, as time went by, the test results became outside the reference range. 

Antoś required a second ostomy surgery. It just breaks my heart to watch my 4-year-old son suffer and think how much he has gone through already. 

The worst part is that the treatment is not over yet. However, I don't want my son to visit the hospital every couple of years! His childhood has been hard enough... I won't let him suffer throughout adolescence and adulthood! 

Our last chance for recovery is the treatment at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Antoś has already undergone qualifying tests and examinations. The doctors decided to perform a single surgery involving anoplasty (reconstruction of the anus) and stoma closure.  Although the day of surgery is getting close, we still haven't raised enough funds…

Antoś is my son, and I would do everything for him. Some obstacles are just impossible to overcome, though... I wish I could save my child single-handedly, but it's impossible. It is why I am asking you for help. All I have left is you and your great hearts...
