Severe accident with tragic results! Help Arek regain his happiness!

The life of our family changed forever. I still cry when I think of what has happened. In one moment I could lose the two most important people in my life—my daughter and my husband. No one should experience such fear and terror… It was hopelessness mixed with despair. I shed millions of tears. But despite a severe accident, they survived! Today I make everything I can to rebuild what we’ve lost. 

It was 16 February in the evening. My husband and daughter were driving back from the training when the road accident happened. My daughter suffered head injuries and was rushed to the emergency room. Fortunately, they were not severe, so she was soon discharged from the hospital. She is fine and stays at home with me. My husband wasn’t that lucky, though. After the accident, he was put in a medically induced coma, due to extensive head injuries. On 4 March, the doctors managed to wake him up, and since that, he’s been staying in the neurology unit. Arek has a left hemiparesis, but he’s already stable most importantly. On 11 March we found out that the haematoma that developed in his head due to the accident, is growing, and surgery is needed. My husband is about to consult a neurosurgeon and a psychiatrist. 

We are aware of the fact, that after the accident and hospital treatment Arek is going to require intensive physical therapy to regain his physical and mental abilities. That is why we would like to ask you for help. Let us forget about that horrible accident. Please make our lives happy and fearless again!
