Let's help fix Asia's hands!

Meet Asia and her family: 

I have created this pool to raise funds for operation on my niece, Asia.  She's lovely bright little girl who needs operation to lead a life just like you and me. 

My daughter Pola loves playing with Asia. 

Here is what my sister and her husband originally wrote:

"My first words after I saw Asia were a question: “can her hands still straighten out?”. Our daughter is missing both her radial bones and thumbs. We didn’t know she would be born that way and that as soon as she’s born we’d have to start the fight for her physical function…

Asia’s palms are bent towards her face. It looks as though her arms end on the elbows and that’s where her palms start. We’ve consulted her case in Poznań, Gdańsk and Hamburg, but no one gave us any chances for a successful surgery and some of them wouldn’t even consider doing one. In January 2019 we went on a consult at Paley European Institute. That world class orthopedic surgeon turned out to be the only one to give us hope for Asia to have hands that would be more like other people’s. The amount we have to pay for the surgery is enormous. We are out of options and without outside help Asia will not have a chance for the therapy. Please, join us in the fight for our child’s physical function.
