The stroke dramatically changed Basia's life! Help her reunite with her son!

Basia had it all – a loving son, a family, friends, and a job. She was always smiling and helpful. She had lived in Scotland for many years and loved taking nature trips with her son. Unfortunately, in one brief moment, her life changed into a DRAMA. 

A while ago, Basia went to Poland for her sister's wedding and her nephew's christening. She spent quality time with her family. Three days after the ceremony, a tragedy happened. Basia developed an acute headache, and we had to call an ambulance!

In the hospital, we were told that she had suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke! We were scared that our beloved Basia – a daughter, a mom, a friend, and a sister – would die! The worst thoughts and scenarios were running through our heads! 

Thankfully, the doctors managed to save her life and put her in a medically induced coma for eleven days. Unfortunately, when she woke up, she didn't recognize us. She was also distant and numb. 

It was heartbreaking, especially for her son, who still cannot accept nor understand why such a tragedy happened to his mom. However, we all know that we cannot give up. We must believe Basia will eventually come back to us! 

Recently, a miracle happened, though! Basia's condition has improved – she is making eye contact and recognizing us! Just days ago, it was impossible! It was a turning point – Basia showed us she wanted to fight for recovery.

However, to achieve that, she requires long-lasting and expensive rehabilitation in a specialized facility in Cracow. She is about to face an enormous challenge – to recover fully, she needs intense physical therapy and neurological speech therapy. We believe it will help Basia reunite with us! 

Unfortunately, since we cannot afford to pay for all the expenses, we must ask you for help. Basia has her whole life ahead of her and still many plans and dreams to realize. The person eager to reunite with her the most is her teenage son. Let's make it possible!
