He lost his health within seconds! Now he's fighting for recovery!

A year ago, Darek's life changed forever. That day, he was on the road - (he used to be a professional driver). It didn't occur to him it would be his last day behind the wheel. 

He decided to take a break since he didn't feel well. He left the car, walked a few steps, and returned to his booth to lie down. Suddenly, he felt excruciating pain in his feet, and a moment later, they became numb. The ambulance arrived quickly and took him to the hospital, where he underwent a series of examinations and life-saving surgery. 

Darek suffered from aortic dissection followed by spinal cord hypoxia. He is paralyzed from the waist down. The strenuous physical therapy in the hospital resulted in many complications, including splenic hematoma, inflammatory bowel disease, bacterial infection, and kidney failure. His condition was critical to the point that the doctors called us to come and say goodbye to him. He miraculously recovered, though!

A year has passed since Darek's life turned 180 degrees. He has spent it at the hospital's rehabilitation unit, clinical infection unit, and hospice. He hasn't given up, though! He wants to fight and hopes for the best - to regain his previous life. He's a bookworm. He loves rollerblading and personal development training. He has never refused to help someone.

The doctors are positive about his recovery. However, it can only be achieved with intense, complex, and daily rehabilitation. It is the only solution for him to regain health and live a normal life.

Darek has never imagined becoming a person in need, asking for support. He finds it embarrassing, but he has no other choice. He cannot afford the expensive rehabilitation. Please open your big hearts to Darek! He needs you very much!
