We’d like to tell you good news… Unfortunately, we don’t have any.
We have received a cost estimate from Stanford clinic. David’s surgery will cost over 5 million zlotys!
We have asked the institution to recalculate, but the answer was negative. We are devastated… We knew the amount would be high, but not that high…

We don’t have much time left. David’s heart without surgery will be beating just for approximately six months… Then it will stop, and ours will burst… We are begging you for help!

We need to fight, and again submit our lives to just one goal – campaign for a life-saving surgery for our little son! We will not let him die, we will not surrender after all that we’ve been through…

We are asking you for help and support, so that the whole country can find out about our fight. Otherwise, we know that we don’t have a chance…

Little David must undergo another heart surgery in the USA! What seemed to be very distant, now it came out to be true. After the latest control procedure, it turned out that the tricuspid valve in David’s heart hasn’t been working properly, and it’s getting worse…
Our boy is facing another fight for his life! His parents are asking for help!

Sławek, David’s dad:

Three years ago, thanks to the support of thousands of Donors, we travelled to the USA to see professor Hanley who saved the life of our little David! If it wasn’t for that comprehensive and extremely risky surgery, David wouldn’t be with us today. We were shocked with the amount of support we had received within the first campaign. We owe You everything – the life of our son!

However, we are facing another enormously difficult challenge – a second serious, necessary surgery!

Unfortunately, although we all hoped that a valve in David’s heart would regain its function and another surgery wouldn’t be required, fate decided otherwise…
We have just returned from the Unites States after control cardiac catheterisation. The doctors performed angioplasty, but they weren’t able to fix the valve. Only an open-heart surgery can bring the solution…

Professor Hanley informed us that we have approximately six months left– that’s a relatively safe period for David’s heart. However, the surgery must be performed as soon as possible! And again, that costs a lot of money…

The first surgery that was performed mainly on Davis’d lungs saved our child’s life. Otherwise, nothing else would be possible – neither the correction of his heart defect, nor the subsequent surgery. David is being treated in the best clinic in the world, the only place in which he received a chance to live! And that’s where he can continue his fight…

Ela, David’s mom:

We have already cried our eyes out. First, after we heard the diagnosis, and later, after successfully finished campaign and fear before the surgery. And now that fear has returned… None of us have ever expected that. We need to pull ourselves together, though, and fight for David’s life!

He means the world to us. He’s such a charming, wonderful boy whose life is a miracle. No, we can’t imagine that he would be gone… I don’t even want to think about it, I don’t want to say those words out loud.

One evening when David was going to sleep, he said to me: “You know mummy, I think I’m going to die”. I froze. I replied that it’s impossible, I’m not going to let it happen, he will live happily ever after! I must keep that promise. That’s why we are asking you for help…

We would love to have problems such as David refusing to go to a kindergarten, arguing with his sister, and cuddling her the next minute. We’ve been trying to live a normal life, but at the back of our minds we are aware of another surgery and campaign coming up…

For the last time, we are begging you to help us. This surgery will protect David for the rest of his life! This way, he will be able to grow up and live his life almost the same way as his peers!

Please give David another chance, and give us hope that we will succeed!
