Surgery that will help to stride through life. Support Dominika!

We do our best to provide for our daughter. Unfortunately we aren’t able to guarantee and provide her with what's most precious – health… Dominika was born with feet deficiency and underdevelopment of both legs.

These malformations delay her development every day. The expensive surgery is the only hope for her to start living a full life like her mates.

First months after Dominika was born were extremely difficult for the whole family. We were devastated because we were aware of the fight she would have to go through to gain mobility and independence. We knew that without fully functioning feet and legs our child would stay handicapped for the rest of her life. Everyday tasks would become difficult for her and sometimes even impossible. Carefree childhood would become an unreachable dream.

We couldn’t let that happen! In fact, right from her first days, after our emotions cooled down, we started searching for help…

Dominika began treatment in orthopedic facility in Poznań. We have also visited and consulted her case with specialists in Wien and Warsaw. After several years of a non-invasive club feet treatment (Ponseti method), we have come to the point where surgery is necessary.

We have managed to consult her case at Doctor Paley’s facility. Dr Paley is a world known orthopedist treating the most difficult cases of congenital deficiencies of hands and legs. Initial consultation is already behind us and we are relieved to be informed that our daughter’s case can be treated there with a high possibility to give her full functionality in the nearest future.

Unfortunately the cost of this surgery exceeded our financial capabilities. Treating her condition – physiotherapy, private appointments, medical examinations and treatments -  consumed most of our savings. There is no chance for us alone to collect that amount of money!

Against all the odds we don’t stop believing that our Dominika can have functioning legs and that’s why we have decided to ask for help… This is our only chance to protect our daughter from disability.
