Fundraiser description
Both girls were premature babies, born in the 28th week… Unfortunately, a bacterial infection contributed to their low birth weight and a critical condition. They received an Apgar score of 2.
The following week, the doctors refused to discuss my daughter’s prognosis and told me to wait and see. I walked from one incubator to another and begged my daughters to find the strength to survive. Dominika spent 7 months in the hospital, and Agnieszka almost 1.5 years.

Initially, I was told that my babies would suffer from developmental delay. Two years after they were born, they received much worse news, though. It was cerebral palsy. The reason for the delay in receiving a diagnosis was the necessity to perform multiple tests to ensure diagnostic accuracy. At that time, I felt as if the world had ended. The medicine wasn’t as advanced as it is today, and the doctors didn’t give my children much hope. However, I pulled myself together and started searching for recovery possibilities for my daughters on my own.
Agnieszka’s situation was difficult from the beginning. She suffered from septic shock twice, and a buildup of fluid in ventricles deep within the brain led to a life-threatening condition… Various conditions and hypoxia harmed her health. Agniesia cannot walk or speak, though she tries her best and can say a few words. I usually know what’s happening with her, and over the years, I’ve learned to read most of the signals. Sometimes I just want to cry...

Dominika’s condition, on the other hand, is better, despite her autism diagnosis. She’s very shy and requires an individual approach. Additionally, she has a progressive scoliosis… Both girls have had major spinal surgery and need ongoing rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation camps, where my daughters train in corsets, are crucial for their recovery. Without continued support, progress may stall.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations to our previous fundraisers. It’s comforting that we were not alone. Today we are facing another challenge, though… Visiting the doctor in or outside the city without a car has become impossible. Dominika cannot travel by train due to her fear of public transport and balance problems. It would also be difficult for Agnieszka, who is using a wheelchair.
We’ve always been dependent on other people’s support. However, it has become impossible, so I want to purchase a car adapted to my daughters’ needs - a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Due to my serious health problems, I cannot carry my children anymore, so a specialized car would solve all our problems. Unfortunately, it’s extremely expensive, and the PFRON’s funding is too low...
This is why I must ask you for help again. I truly believe that together, we will manage to collect the required amount of funds. Thanks to you, Dominika and Agnieszka will be able to travel to specialists hassle-free! I will appreciate any donation…
