Unimaginable pain led to tragedy! Please help us fight for Dorothy!

Dorota - my mother - is a young, cheerful, very warm and family-oriented person. Unfortunately, her world and ours collapsed a few months ago and we found ourselves in a situation where we really need support...

The year started unluckily for mom - on January 8 she tripped and fell, which resulted in a broken metatarsal. Mom is being treated for osteoporosis. Unfortunately, it didn't take much for the bone to break.

For over 2 weeks mom went to work. At first it was thought to be a contusion and that's what mom was treated for.... It was not until three months after the injury that doctors diagnosed a fracture. Mom was treated conservatively, unfortunately without any results... Due to the ineffectiveness of the treatment and severe, acute pain it was necessary to carry out an arthrodesis of the Lisfranc joint. For the following months we struggled with severe post-traumatic pain.

When it seemed that the worst was behind us, mom broke her arm.... When she stood up, she wobbled, lost her balance and fell. 1.5 months after the foot surgery, another fracture... And another operation. The arm had to be stabilized with Kirschner wires - mom had to wear them for two months.

After another surgery, my mom was in a lot of pain... She was in a lot of pain and she didn't have a functioning foot and hand, which made it very difficult for her to move around and do everyday activities. We experienced her suffering very much. We helped in every way we could to make her recovery easier. It seemed that this was the end of the tragedy, but unfortunately, the worst was yet to come...

Unfortunately, in June there was an accident, which cannot be undone in any way - the fracture of the spine with the severing of the spinal cord. When we left for the rehabilitation center, mom was all stiff... She couldn't move her hands by herself, which were twisted in different directions. It was hard for her to speak and she could not eat on her own. Her condition made our hearts break...

Mom is temporarily in a rehabilitation center. The only way to restore her efficiency is a long and expensive neurological rehabilitation. Unfortunately, its cost exceeds our family's financial possibilities. The cost of mom's stay in the rehabilitation center is 4500 PLN per month. We support her as much as we can, but only good words without professional rehabilitation and mobilization will not help. A man faced with such difficulties seems helpless. The only thing we dream about now is that my mother could move in a wheelchair and come back to live with us.

Thanks to your support, mom is slowly gaining strength and fights every day to get back to fitness. Unfortunately, a long hospitalization resulted in bedsores, which does not facilitate the healing process. Nevertheless, the fight is still on. The struggle to improve her health can only get better thanks to you.

Mom and we, her family, are very grateful for all your help so far. Full of hope we are asking for further support in financing mom's neurological rehabilitation, which is the only possibility of her return to normality! Every single zloty is a spark of hope for her further fight for life.
