Campaign description

On the occasion of Children's Day, we are saving the children in a mental crisis! Support us by joining the “Today I work for the kids” campaign!

Who would not want to go back in time, to childhood for a short moment?

Those beautiful times when the most precious people and things could be found on the playground or outside a house? Friends, available anytime, ready for your call. A soccer field, not big enough to play on, a “local community centre” for kids at a carpet-hanger. No cell phones or computers were needed to organise a catch-up, and the reality used to be non-virtual. Fun used to be interrupted by a parent calling out for dinner, not a dead phone battery. For most of us, those innocent times bring back pleasant memories. Unfortunately, not all children are that lucky…

A couple of years ago, the psychiatrists warned that more and more children experience mental crises. In the digitalised world where success is measured by the number of likes and views under the posts shared on social media, mental health is affected. The coronavirus pandemic and war in Ukraine have just made it worse.

According to a survey made by a spokesperson for children in November 2021, one in every seven children in Poland feels dissatisfied with their life. Its scope might significantly impact their mental health. Half of the population of young people do not accept themselves. On the other hand, according to the data obtained by the police in 2021, 1496 children and teenagers under 18 years old attempted suicide, with 127 cases resulting in death…

There is only one conclusion: Young people need urgent psychological support! For that reason, we are stepping up and restarting our “Today I work for the kids” campaign. Due to upcoming Children’s Day, on 1 June, we will go to work, think about the kids in a mental crisis and donate our daily income to the Happy Kids Foundation and a Polish SOS Children's Villages Association that offer psychological support to children.

Join our campaign and on the occasion of this special day, let’s do a good deed for children in need! Let us not allow the shortage of mental support when required the most! A single conversation with a therapist or anyone who will listen and detect a problem can save a young person’s life. It is a battle where life is at stake! Please help us win!

Would you like to offer extra support in promoting our campaign? It’s easier than you think!

You can download dedicated graphics (e.g., your selfie) and post them on social media, adding #DzisPracujeDlaDzieciakow (eng. Today I work for the kids). In this case, the bigger the scope and the higher number of likes you receive, the better. Let’s use the power of the Internet to save the children! Here are some photographs that were taken for the previous campaign:

The Happy Kids Foundation manages 17 group homes with a total of 140 children. Since the beginning of the war In Ukraine, 1500 children and their caregivers have been evacuated from the Ukrainian orphanages. Those children have been traumatised multiple times and require special psychological, psychiatric, and medical care.
