I am fighting for recovery for my son - my hip is in critical condition!

I spend my entire childhood in hospitals and sanatoriums undergoing physical therapy. I had eleven complex surgical procedures, which enabled me to start independent life, pursue a professional career, and have a baby. I have never given up, although being a single mom wasn’t easy. 

My son Peter has been suffering from spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy since birth. 

Thanks to the expensive, years-long rehabilitation and surgeries, his condition improved. 

He is a college student now, and I’m so proud of him! 

I, on the other hand, was born with hip dysplasia. For many years I managed to overcome every hardship and was strong and determined enough to fight for our recovery. Driven by my optimism and cheerfulness, I did my best to be able to afford our treatment. 

Unfortunately, recently, I have been losing a battle with my disease. Walking has become more and more difficult for me. I use crutches for short distances and a wheelchair for longer distances. I feel unbearable pain that can no longer be alleviated with physical therapy. It has become an issue for me at work. I also need to take care of my son and make sure he gets proper treatment. I want to support him, not become a burden to him. 

After many efforts and searching for help, I finally found the right clinic with specialists who perform hip reconstruction surgery. My case is complicated - only a few doctors can perform the type of surgery that offers an opportunity to restore a full range of motion! 

The only solution is to undergo treatment at the Paley Institute in the USA, followed by postoperative physical therapy. It will make my life pain-free and let me walk again. Without surgery, I will be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life... 

Unfortunately, I cannot afford the cost of the treatment. My disease is progressing and depriving me of strength, energy, and hope. My friends persuaded me to start a fundraiser and ask you for help. Your support will mean a great deal to me!
