Urgent Appeal for Life-Saving Cancer Treatment Funding

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Ewa Lucyna Fenger, a dedicated general practitioner with over 30 years of experience. Unfortunately, I find myself in a dire situation as malignant skin cancer has wreaked havoc on my face, left eye, and back, leading to metastases in my lungs. This rapid deterioration has brought immense suffering, forcing me to step back from life.

Now, alongside my family, we are in a relentless fight for a treatment that holds the promise of restoring my health and allowing me to reclaim my life.

My life has always revolved around my family and cherished children. I've strived to instill in them a deep understanding of their value and love. During my free time, I found solace in the forest, where my husband and I would take our children. It was crucial for me to impart to them a natural sensitivity and awareness of the world and its people.

Despite my illness, I remained committed to my role as a family doctor, finding immense satisfaction in helping others. Over the years, I built close relationships with many families, and the words of support from my patients, describing me as a doctor with vocation; empathetic and patient; have been a source of inspiration.

While Wismodegib initially provided relief in 2021/2022, its effectiveness waned, and my condition worsened. A potential solution lies in an expensive treatment available in Germany, offering a chance to regain my health. Facial reconstruction would enable me to return to my vocation and continue caring for my patients. Your support can provide me with the opportunity to cherish moments with my children and grandchildren and actively participate in their lives once more.

The vaccine developed at the German Institute of Clinical Immunology in Cologne holds promise by stimulating the body immune response to effectively combat cancer. This targeted immunotherapy attacks the tumor while sparing healthy cells, minimizing side effects and enhancing the overall efficacy of the treatment.

The treatment plan comprises three stages, including oncological immunological diagnostics, a liquid biopsy of the tumor, and a 6-day cycle of vaccinations. Two additional cycles are planned, each with a one-month break. The estimated cost for these procedures is 61,815 euros.

My entire family is rallying behind me in this fight, but the financial burden is overwhelming. I humbly seek your assistance in covering the treatment expenses, as this is my sole chance for recovery.
