Filip still has a chance for recovery... Please save our child!

We still cannot believe it... Our son used to be a wonderful, happy, outgoing boy.  Past tense. 

It all started when Filip turned 1,5 years old. He lost touch with us, didn't react when we called him, stopped smiling, forgot the simple activities, and withdrew from our life. Eventually, he stopped developing.

We received the first diagnosis - autism. However, we felt we needed to dig deeper and decided to have Filip examined in Poland and abroad. It turned out that Filip had Lyme disease, bartonellosis, kryptopyrroluria, and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

Fate has given our son a hard time. After countless medical appointments and hospital stays, Filip has been diagnosed with another disease - autoimmune encephalitis!

It is a condition in which the immune system attacks its healthy cells, which results in a child's developmental delay or even regression. Without proper treatment, it gets worse. 

The only recovery solution is immunoglobulin therapy. Unfortunately, it isn't covered by insurance and costs thousands of zlotys! 

We, as parents, feel helpless and frustrated that we cannot help our child. Undergoing the therapy as soon as possible would let Filip achieve further developmental milestones and offer a chance for a better future!   

The disease has already taken its toll on Filip's body! He cannot communicate with us, understands us less and less, cannot focus, and has sleep disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder! In time, the disease might cause irreversible brain damage...

So far, we used our savings to cover recent tests, therapies, and treatments. Unfortunately, we cannot afford intravenous immunoglobulin therapy that involves administering multiple infusions, additional examinations, medical consultations, medications, dietary supplements, and other treatments.
