Let's help Filip

Because of the hypertrophy of the pharyngeal tonsil which impaired the permeability of the Eustachian tubes, Filip suffered a bilateral hearing loss. Finding out about a child’s illness is always difficult for a parent to acknowledge and to understand. Many questions arise but no one can answer them. Filip restored his hearing thanks to the treatments that he had undergone but my son still suffers the consequences of the hearing loss, such as speech loss or communication issues.

Unfortunately, these are not the only problems that Filip faces as autism spectrum disorder, hyperactivity, sensory processing disorder and movement disorder occur as well.
Filip turned 8 this February and I know that all the most difficult things in life are still ahead of him. Growing up, establishing relationships with peers, a necessity of developing independence to the highest possible extent. How to cope with all of these when you do not understand the world around you and the world does not always understand you…

When I look at my child, I admire him for being such a cheerful boy who, despite everything he is going through, welcomes every day with a smile on his face. There is nothing else I wish but to make his life, which is a challenge in itself, easier however I lack the money required to meet his rehabilitation needs.

Due to pervasive developmental disorders a complex therapy adapted to his individual needs is indispensable.

It is required for Filip to attend to professional therapeutic activities: physiotherapy with elements of Sensory Integration (SI) therapy, speech and psychopedagogical therapy, social, communication and co-operative skills training classes, classes stimulating the child's emotional and cognitive development, classes stimulating development of the manual dexterity and graphomotor skills, psychoeducation. All of the abovementioned entails sky-high expenses that I am unable to cover myself and that is why I am asking for your support. Every penny counts…
