Filip was born with an extremely serious heart defect. And although in September he will celebrate his 4th birthday - in his short life he has suffered more than many adults ... Today, when we look into his sad and fearful eyes, we know that we must do everything to help him!

Filip was born on 18th September 2018. Shortly after the birth, he was diagnosed with a serious heart defect - aortic stenosis and significant mitral regurgitation. His condition was critical and the prognosis was tragic!

These were the worst moments. Our son needed two major life-saving surgeries. Then we experienced pain that we did not know so far and emotions that were hard to bear ... Fortunately, both treatments, although extremely complicated - were successful. His tiny body was doing its best to survive! It was amazing! Filip wanted to live so much!

In the following days, his condition slowly began to stabilize and we were finally able to take him home. We were extremely happy, but somewhere inside we knew that it was only temporary ... The doctors clearly stated that we had a long and hard road ahead of us to his recovery.

At the beginning of 2019, the Clinical Hospital in Poznań organized the arrival of a world-famous cardiac surgeon - Dr. Tornike Sologashvili from the University Hospital in Geneva, who specializes in the treatment of the most severe heart defects. We knew it was a great opportunity for us!

Without thinking, we went to the consultation, where we received the classification for the next - third operation. We were terrified, but we knew that this was the only way to help our child. We had to trust the doctors again and hand the baby over to them ...

Unfortunately, this time there were serious complications during the operation, as well as other abnormalities - Shone's syndrome were revealed. The specialists did everything in their power to save our child, but unfortunately his condition was critical. There were serious problems with stabilizing the vital functions and it was necessary to connect my son to an artificial heart-lung device ...

I remember trembling with fear then, tears streaming down my cheeks, and my thoughts were only on whether my baby would survive! My heart was torn apart by despair and unimaginable pain ...

For the third time, our little warrior stood to fight for his life. It was very difficult, but he was successful! Today, many months separate us from these drastic moments. Filip has been through a lot during this time and unfortunately received further diagnoses - arrhythmia, neurological and
ophthalmic disorders. However, thanks to intensive rehabilitation, their symptoms were significantly alleviated. We are currently trying to live a normal life ... Filip bravely attends kindergarten, loves to count and is passionate about cars.

Unfortunately, we are still unable to stop the worsening heart defects. More and more often we see his lips turning purple and he is very tired, so in order to realistically think about the future of our son, we must act quickly!

The only hope is the fourth and most important operation in Geneva. The local specialists gave us a chance that we will not get anymore... Unfortunately, its cost is huge and exceeds one million Polish zlotys! Added to this is the costly transport and accommodation ...

So we have two options - to wait helplessly for our son's death, or to do whatever it takes to save him! It will not be possible without your support. We are not able to collect such a colossal sum alone! That is why we are asking you for help, sharing this event and donating a symbolic one zloty ...
