Franulek is our whole world. He is a charming and smiling boy who has already suffered pain in his short life. He was born with left foot cleft and toe deformity in the right foot. The doctors reassured us that the defect was not so serious and that it would be possible to merge splitted part without any issues with use of surgical wires. When Franio was 10 months old, he has undergone surgery – but after two weeks, the wire that was supposed to hold the foot together - slipped out. Over time, it turned out that both the wire and the way the doctors performed the procedure caused significant bone deformation and a gap between the toe and the remaining fingers. It was worse than before surgery.

We were heartbroken at first – but we just couldn’t give up on our baby. We have begun to look for the best specialists in this manner and as a result – contacted Dr Radler at Vienna Orthopedic Clinic. We went for a consultation and catched the wind again. Franek was offered surgery to correct the result of failed procedure done in Poland. Additionally the doctor sees the need to operate on the right foot due the underdevelopment of the second toe, which results in a tendency for the big toe to crook. This procedure should prevent it from happening. We have already started gathering the funds for these operations and we will need to collect tens of thousands of złotys for them to happen – and we do not have such money.
