Fundraiser description
At the end of 2024, a tragedy fell upon our family. On 30 December, just after Christmas, my wife experienced a sudden epilepsy episode. I did not think that this would just be the beginning of her fight for life...
She was immediately taken to hospital where she had CT and MRI scans. The result revealed the worst thing I could expect. There was a 6 cm brain tumour!
In January 2025, Gosia underwent tumour resection surgery. The histopathology examination confirmed glioblastoma. My wife was referred for chemo- and radiotherapy. We were thinking about the darkest scenarios. I was living in fear of what the next days will bring. Will my Gosia find the strength within herself?

During this time, Gosia was experiencing strong epilepsy episodes and sometimes I had to call an ambulance. In September 2025, one of the episodes was so intensive that my wife was admitted to hospital. She had to spend three weeks there as she also had flu.
Gosia has been home since 3rd October. Unfortunately, the tumour has wreaked havoc in her body. Her left side is paralysed. I have been taking care of my wife for a month. Together with our family, I renovated a room, so she can easily move around in a wheelchair.
Today, the whole family is dedicated to taking care of Gosia. I had to return to work – I am the main breadwinner. I have to earn money in order to be able to provide specialist care, physiotherapist sessions and necessary treatment for my wife. Unfortunately, it is still not enough.

We have two children, Hiroki and Hania. Our son is 19 years old and our daughter is 18. Together with my wife, we are planning to dance at their weddings and take care of our grandchildren. Gosia loves Sopot and Japan – she feels at her best there. My dream is for her to be able to visit these places.
It is very difficult to ask for help but I have no other choice. This insidious disease wants to take my wife – my love and the reason I smile every day. But I will not give up. I will fight for her health each day as long as I have the strength.
Unfortunately, the costs of treatment, medical care and rehabilitation are enormous and it is more and more difficult to cover them. For this reason, I am asking for your support. Each kind of help is very valuable. Any kind of support gives hope that my wife will recover.
