One day, one moment forever changed our lives. A tragic accident changed everything – our peaceful life and sense of security. The unfortunate incident occurred in 2021, shortly before the holidays. My son Grześ, while working on installing photovoltaic panels, fell from the roof from about 10 meters. In critical condition, he was rushed to the hospital, where his dramatic fight for life began.

Grześ miraculously survived. For seven days, he was under a ventilator. Each day we visited our son and prayed for him to come back to us. Thankfully, he did, but the fall did not leave him unscathed. As a result of the accident, Grześ suffered numerous fractures of the skull and facial bones. A fracture at the base of the skull caused facial nerve paralysis and complete hearing loss in his right ear and 50% in his left ear. The list of injuries was really long: a fracture of the pelvic bone, fractures of the right radius-ulna, and the left wrist bones.

After numerous surgeries, it was time for rehabilitation. Grzegorz attended sessions under the care of the National Health Fund (NFZ) – unfortunately, as we all know, this is just a drop in the ocean of needs after such injuries. My son struggles with pain every day.

However, after consulting at a private rehabilitation center with a neurologist and a physiotherapist, we see a light at the end of the tunnel in returning to independence and normality. However, to achieve this, we need your help! We cannot cover the further costs of treatment and rehabilitation of our son on our own.

Therefore, we ask anyone who could support us, even with a single złoty, to help!
