Fundraiser description
We hadn’t imagined in our worst nightmares that Hania would face such a terrible fate. Although she’s already gone through so much, she must fight for her life and health again! Our daughter was born at 36 weeks. We’d been so looking forward to meeting her! Unfortunately, that day wasn’t exactly our dream come true.
Hours after the delivery, Hania developed breathing difficulties. As it turned out, due to a complex congenital heart disease, she had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital, where we received another shocking diagnosis - Down syndrome. Unfortunately, we were about to hear more devastating news.

Our daughter later developed rhythmic right-hand movements and characteristic eye movements. The EEG test ordered by the neurologist showed that Hania was suffering from epilepsy! The seizures have varied in type and severity. After every episode, Hania is always exhausted, weak, and falls asleep immediately.
Our daughter doesn’t speak or walk, and requires 24/7 care and assistance with daily living activities. In 2015, Hania underwent a life-saving complex heart surgery! Now we are scared for our girl’s health again...

In March 2024, our daughter was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. The diagnosis, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, made us weak at the knees. The battle for Hania’s life lasted for two weeks. She underwent ineffective chemotherapy, followed by targeted therapy. We thought we had finally defeated cancer, but it came back!
Currently, Hania suffers from minimal residual disease and has to undergo supportive chemotherapy at least until the end of 2026.

Hania requires medications, supplements, and regular rehabilitation to help ease the side effects of chemo. Since she has been using a wheelchair, we must also modify the bathroom to fit her needs.
All parents love their children unconditionally. That love is even stronger when the child is sick. We will do everything to care for our daughter’s health. However, the rising costs of therapies exceed our financial capabilities. This is why we are asking all good-hearted people for help. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help our daughter receive the treatments, rehabilitation, and support she needs for a better tomorrow.
