My name is Hanna Kryts. I have been diagnosed with Astrocytoma, Grade 4. I know that Grade 4 Glioblastoma doesn't give me a chance of recovery. It's not a battle that can be won. However, there are cases where people manage to live long despite this. That's why I have decided to fight for every day of my life. Because I have someone to fight for. My beloved daughter is 1 year old, and my son is 6 years old.
Currently, I am undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, which require immense strength and perseverance. Soon, I will finish this treatment, and then I will have to wait for 6 weeks and undergo another MRI. This will be a crucial moment that will determine the next steps in my fight against my illness.
Depending on the MRI results, additional measures and interventions may be needed, for which unfortunately we do not have sufficient financial means:
The first alternative is an exceptionally effective chemotherapy, which in my case is not reimbursed. The cost is about 3000 zł per dose!
Gamma-knife is a procedure I can undergo if the tumor recurs and it is possible to remove it in an accessible location. The cost of this treatment is about 30,000 złotys.
Another chance to extend life is immunotherapy, the costs of which are high and will be determined by the doctor,
Finally, technology - Nano therm (cost 180,000 zł), which may be crucial in treatment.
For such a hopeless disease, I have quite a few treatment options, but at the same time, I do not have the money to pay for it.
My family and I are very grateful for any support we can receive. Every penny raised for treatment is a huge opportunity for me and my children. I will regularly update on my health condition and treatment progress.
