Natalia Fundraiser
The money box was created on the initiative of the Organizer who is responsible for its content.

Magda Szlachtowicz is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her sister, Natalia Szlachtowicz (35 years old).
Fundraise for: 1 month-long stay at a Specialist Medical Centre
Location: Olsztyn, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland
Natalia’s current state:
Post aneurysm rupture state - subarachnoid haemorrhage, stroke, hemiparesis
To this day, I cannot believe that this really happened to my sister, Natalia. I keep hoping I will wake up from this nightmare and finally feel a sigh of relief ...
Ever so suddenly, Natalia turned from an energetic young woman into an intensive care patient. A unique and rare case of aneurysm was unexpectedly found in her head, which affected two of her arteries. As if this was not enough, in parallel to that, she also suffered a severe pneumonia and was unable to breathe on her own. The doctors decided on an emergency surgery to save Natalia, however the surgery turned out to be just the beginning of our tragedy.
After the surgery, Natalia suffered a stroke. The next thing I saw was my sister being connected to apparatuses that are keeping her alive, and it’s breaking my heart. Natalia now also suffers from Aphasia, which effectively means a speech disorder and paralysis, prognosis of which is difficult to estimate at this stage.
Natalia is very strong, which gives me hope and motivation to continue fighting for her, no matter what it takes. She follows us with her eyes, and I just know that she understands everything. There’s no time to waste as her kids ask every day when will mummy come home to them.
Natalia is my beloved older sister. She always looked after me, gave me advice and supported me through each and every moment of my life. It is now the time that I give back and repay her with my support for all the years she’s been there for me.
We found a professional intensive rehabilitation in a specialized medical centre that gives us hope for a return to our old life. Unfortunately, the costs are high, and we are not able to collect all the necessary funds by ourselves. I am therefore reaching out to you, full of hope, that together we can help my sister Natalia get back on her feet and get back to her children.
This is such a challenging time for all of us, and so your generosity is deeply appreciated, however little you can help with.
