Fundraiser description

Two brothers, Igor, and Nikoś, both experienced by fate, were born a few years apart with perinatal asphyxia, which resulted in serious consequences. Every day we are struggling to maintain their health. Thanks to your donations, they can continue their physical therapy. We are asking for your further help to let us continue our fight.

Igor is 10. He was born as a premature baby. In addition to perinatal asphyxia, he had pneumonia, body dysmorphic disorder, cardiomegaly, and enlarged adrenal glands. His liver was overgrowing, and today it is larger than the liver of an adult. However, the biopsy did not show any disorders. The doctors still cannot identify the problem. Currently, they suspect three genetic diseases. Unfortunately, the list of diagnoses is very long... When our little son was three years old, he was diagnosed with glycogenosis, hearing loss, and high myopia in both eyes. We have to be patient and believe that the doctors can cure Igor...

Igor i Nikodem Kinal i Zachariasz

Our younger son Nikodem is 2,5 years old. When he was born,  he had an umbilical cord tightly wrapped around his neck, which caused perinatal asphyxia. It took a long time to resuscitate him, and the doctors had to intubate him twice. On the way to the hospital, his heart stopped. The doctors performed on him a medically induced coma, in which he stayed for two weeks. To prevent further bleeding that could damage his brain, they did therapeutic hypothermia.

Currently, there is a struggle for the correct development of our boys, their regular physical therapy and the doctor’s appointments ahead of us. It is hard enough to fight for the health of one child. However, we have two sons who have to be taken care of, and we need to do whatever it takes to help them. To enable their independence in the future…
