Urgent!

We have time until the end of March to collect more than one milion PLN for the last chance therapy. We learned about the recurrence on the 26th February. We couldn’t believe ….. Doctors disbelieve in what has happened… Nobody can explain why…… Too fast…. Unexpectedly…. A week ago the test results were good… The tumour our little daughter suffers from is so malignant…. After the transplant and difficult treatment it’s the last chance…. Please, help us….

Our 2-year-old daughter has spent most of her life in hospital struggling to survive every day. She learned to walk and talk here while being treated with chemiotherapy. She became ill on 26 February 2019 when she was only 4 months old. She was just weak, two days later she started vomiting, The diagnosis was shocking – acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

The treatment has begun, but the word “war” would be more appropriate here. This illness blasts, causes strong pain and suffering. We don’t know what will happen next. The first year of life is so important. She has been fighting the illness instead of being at home with her loving family, growing and exploring the world. And now she has to stand up the fight again after such a short time of the first part of treatment.
We’ve left the hospital for the first time after 14 months of treatment. Iza was supposed to take subsidiary chemotherapy medicines and take blood tests weekly. On 11 January Iza had hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in clinic Przylądek Nadziei. Dawidek, her 9-year old brother, was the donor.  He was so happy and proud that he could help his little sister!

On 12th January we were released home with the happy news that everything was fine. The examination after a week consolidated us in the belief that Iza’s fight was over and she will be healthy again. On the 26th of January Iza had another blood test. We didn’t manage to get home, when we got a call from the clinic: “Get back to the hospital as soon as possible!”. Cancer recurrence! There are many cancer cells in Iza’s blood. No one could believe this...

It's hard to explain the recurrence of the cancer. We are shocked! We can’t believe it! It has happened so fast! Unfortunately, Izunia suffers from a malignant form of leukemia. It’s the most difficult to treat, the worst one… We have the last chance – CAR-T Cell Therapy. It is non-refundable and extremely expensive. What’s worse, we have only 30 days to collect the money for the treatment to save the life of our beloved daughter!

Despite the chemiotherapy which was in her little veins, despite kilograms of steroids and antibiotics, Izunia grows up and makes progress. We don’t know where she takes the strength from to smile all the time. We hope, we believe she will overcome the cancer and she won’t remember the first and most difficult months of her life. Now, we are concentrated on one thing: to provide her with treatment on time. We hope we can do it. That’s why we are begging – help us save Iza’s life!
