Help for Jacek!

My name’s Jacek and I always try to be cheerful and optimistic. I try but it’s not easy because my illness has been with me since I was born. Numerous operations, years spent in bed, suffering which is hard to describe - these are my struggles in short. It’s all fault of my congenital defect of my legs. I was born with it. Without an operation I’ll be forced to end on a wheelchair. Please help me to escape from it.

Unfortunately, my current state is bad - the surgery I had (done by Ilizarow’s method) didn’t give an expected effect. Moreover, my bones have become weakened thus I broke my thigh twice. One of my legs was badly set and now it’s shorter and anastomosed with sheeting and screws.

Mistakes made by doctors have led me to the state which I’m currently in. I can barely walk and I’m afraid that one day I may simply not be able to get up from my bed. I urgently need an operation because all weight of my body is on one leg. My other leg is hurt too and also needs a surgery. My spine is getting weaker and weaker. I don’t like complaining but my pain is sometimes unbearable. I used to have a job, plans and dreams. Now I can’t work anymore.

Like everybody I also have my dreams - my hobby is electronic music and being a DJ is my passion. Passion which I really love. I can feel I could do really a lot on this ground but I can’t because I’m having more and more problems with standing.

Medicine has gone far since my last surgeries and now there’s a new intramedullary method through electromagnetic rods which are steered electromagnetically. This method will help me save my fitness and release me from pain! There’s a chance for me to fight for my health and future. This chance involves surgeries done by the mentioned method. Unfortunately, the price is exorbitant - more than 300 thousand Polish zloty!

I’m 37 years old and still a lot of things to do. I know that if my condition sits me down on a wheelchair most of them will be impossible. Without an operation it will be getting worse and worse. I’m scared because I don’t know how I’ll manage in the future. Please help me. I’m asking for a chance to live without a disability. I trust that collecting this sum of money is possible with your help!
