Fundraiser description
Kuba is 38 years old. He’s an experienced climber and a free rider. He treats the mountains as a second home. He’s always helped others develop climbing, skiing, and tennis hobbies. Now he’s the one who needs help…
On December 20, during a ski tour in Mont Blanc in Italy, he was swept by an avalanche and fell 500 m downhill at high speed.
He injured his jaw, both knees (the right knee is almost entirely crushed), his right hand, including nerve damage and lack of muscle control, and numerous internal injuries, such as broken ribs and torn ligaments.
He is lucky to be alive at all…

During several weeks in the Italian hospital, Kuba underwent numerous surgical procedures. After being transported back to Poland, he started intense physical therapy. Currently, he’s about to undergo a total knee replacement of the right leg and knee ligament surgery of the left leg.
Kuba requires long-term and expensive rehabilitation, not covered by insurance. However, this treatment is necessary to restore control in his right hand, so that he can go back to everyday life and work. It’s going to take many months until he gets back on his own feet…

Unfortunately, the cost of treatment and medical devices is extremely high. Soon Kuba won't afford it.
I want to ask you on his behalf to help him regain his fitness and go back home. Kuba is strong, and he will work hard to recover!
Everyone in his environment knows that he is a real fighter! All he needs is a little help from you to achieve his goal.
Thank you so much for every donation!
Karolina
