Let's help Kalinka!

On the 15th of July 2019 my beautiful daughter was born. After Kalinas birth we parents found out Kalina was born with a defect in her right ear. In medical language, it is called microtia with artesia of the ear canal. Due to this defect, Kalinka cannot hear in her right ear, has an undeveloped auricle and a closed ear canal. In her further life, this means a number of additional difficulties in her development. We worry about how she will cope with sounds in the future, how many dangers may be waiting for her in the world!

An ear defect prevents her from correctly locating the source of sound and speech - which means that she may not hear an approaching car! If someone called her, even to warn her, she might not hear it... In addition to health problems related to the ear, Kalinka tries to locate the sound with the her healthy left ear, this is associated with problems in the future with posture defects...

At the very end there is simply the appearance. The ear attracts the eyes of strangers. So we are already afraid that when Kalinka goes to school, children may tease her and she may encounter negative and unpleasant comments. We can't protect her from that. For us Kalina is the most beautiful and we love her very much.

Ear reconstruction surgery in Poland is possible only after the age of 12, and hearing and speech develop much earlier. In addition, operations in the country are carried out in stages, and additionally - they are very painful. We don't want Kalina to suffer... There is another method - surgery in the USA, where several children from Poland have been successfully operated on so far! Today they look like other, healthy children and they are developing like that! We want the same for Kalinka The operation in the United States is one-step.

During it, the reconstruction and opening of the ear canal, if it exists, is done. Since the operation is not reimbursed and costs a lot of money, we have decided to open a fundraiser and ask you - good people with big hearts - for help.
