URGENT❗️Her life is a hell of pain - only urgent surgery will save Karolina!

URGENT! Karolina is a wife and mother who suffered for years. Doctors believed that low level of pain sensitivity. Only recently it turned out that these are attacks of a cruel disease that destroys her entire body. The pain is unbearable, the changes in the body multiply, which can turn into an angry cancer. The only rescue is surgery.

"My name is Karolina, I have a wonderful husband Bartek and a 13 years old daughter, Hania. For as long as I can remember, I have always had painful periods. To get rid of the pain, I visited a lot of doctors, but they said that "there is no reason to worry because the results are correct". They claimed that it was a matter of my pain sensitivity - it was a mental problem for them, not a physical one but soon it turned out that they were very wrong.

In August 2021, after a night attack, I went to the doctor again ... After seeing the results of the transvaginal ultrasound, it was decided that – again - everything was fine [!]. Three months later, during a routine check-up at the gynecologist, it turned out that I had a tumor on my bladder! It was 20 by 30 mm ... None of the doctors I consulted on this matter could believe that in August he had not been seen.

In December, just before Christmas, I had an operation to remove my tumor. Fortunately, I was able to return home for Christmas and avoid contracting COVID-19 in the hospital. I had to wait for the results of histopathology, and while raising the New Year's toast, we wish that 2022 would be a better year. Unfortunately it did not happen...

Deeply infiltrating endometriosis - I heard the brutal truth at the beginning of the year. Suddenly it turned out that the years of my suffering had a cause... I suffer from a disease called "the silent killer of women" - hard to detect, still little known, it turns the lives of the sick into hell. The endometrium in a healthy woman exfoliates during the menstrual cycle. It is different with the different patients and different women’s body. The fragments that had naturally be removed during period get to other organs, sometimes even as distant as the lungs or the brain! They form infiltrates and tumors, which causes excruciating pain!

During the next inspection, the doctor realized that urologists had not removed the entire tumor from the bladder and that another operation would be required. What's more, the endometriosis foci took more places - the vagina, rectovaginal septum, uterus, rectum, left ovary fused with the rectum, sacro-uterine ligament, and bladder... During surgery, it may turn out that the disease affects other organs - probably the diaphragm and small intestine, because I also feel discomfort in these areas.

It hurts practically every day. Sometimes the pain is so bad it wakes me up in the middle of the night. It intensifies before menstruation, and the apogee occurs during the period. It is such suffering that it is impossible to get up, walk, live. Plus nausea, numbness in arms and legs, a feeling of paralysis from the waist down. I could call an ambulance every time, just to give me a strong painkiller that would free me from cramps lasting 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, in Poland, surgical treatment of endometriosis with the help of the National Health Fund is impossible. These types of operations can only be performed privately. To help me, doctors have to remove the entire uterus. It is very possible that they will also have to cut out a piece of the large intestine and create a stoma if it turns out that the disease has also spread to that area. My disease is very advanced. The cost of the operation may be as high as PLN 60 000. Unfortunately, it will be very complicated. However, if I do not carry it out quickly (preliminary estimates say it is at the turn of April and May 2022), I risk such a worsening of the disease that will prevent me from living a normal life and practically lock me at home. In addition, any of the changes that keep multiplying in my body can develop into a malignant tumor over time.

I was able to contact two of the largest authorities in the field of endometriosis in Poland. They agreed that "sensitivity to pain" was a wrong and harmful diagnosis, and above all it downplayed a completely real and detectable disease. They had no doubts that I was a victim of years of neglect and misdiagnosis.

However, I don't think of any revenge - I have more important things to fight for: I have to be healthy for my wonderful daughter, because I want to see her grow up; for my husband, who stands by my side and with whom I would like to grow old. I have to fight for each new day to be a painless day. However, I will not be able to win this fight if you do not help me in it. It will be impossible without you.
