Fundraiser description
On January 29, 2026, Karolina, Amelia, and Antos’s mom was sitting in her armchair, drinking tea. Unaware of what would happen next… That day, her brain aneurysm ruptured, resulting in dramatic consequences. Before losing her consciousness, she said she had a severe headache…
Thankfully, her cousin was there and called an ambulance immediately. In the hospital, she underwent numerous examinations. We felt something wasn’t right. During the surgery, she suffered from a brain bleed, followed by a stroke.

On Good Friday, Karolka’s condition improved significantly. She regained her consciousness, breathed, and cried when I showed her video clips with Amelka and Antoś. Unfortunately, she developed a brain abscess caused by a bacterial infection… Karolina was in a coma for a month before the doctors managed to cure the infection. Although she wasn’t asleep anymore, her body was.
Sadly, shortly after, she developed hydrocephalus and had to be put in a coma again, in which she has remained to this day. She’s my only daughter! For the first weeks of this nightmare, I couldn’t function normally. I was scared to death. However, I know we cannot succumb to the fear, and deep inside we believe that everything will be all right! Karolina is a fighter! Despite an unfavourable prognosis.

Unfortunately, she will probably require round-the-clock care for the rest of her life… She has a long-term, intense, and expensive rehabilitation ahead of her. It will take many years to repair what the brain aneurysm had destroyed in seconds. No one is 100% sure whether Karolina will ever recover. Her future will be very hard.
As a mother and a grandmother, I decided to ask you for help. Even with the support of our family, we aren’t even able to pay to restore her basic physical abilities. I wish my daughter would at least be able to move around using a wheelchair, talk to her children, and watch them grow up.
A stay in a specialized rehabilitation center is very expensive, though. The annual cost is over PLN 300.000! Please help my Karolina, if you can. Her children need her as much as we do!
