I want to win with endometriosis but I need surgery! Help!

My name is Klaudia and in 2011 my joy of life was taken away by an insidious disease – endometriosis. For many years I have been trying to learn to live with it but now I know that we can never be friends. I do not want to be friends with someone who only causes pain and hurts me more and more each month...

I am unable to work. I tend to give up on social life more frequently. I have to cope with side effects of painkillers although they stopped working a long time ago. When the pain is too strong to manage, I lose consciousness. Each day, I have to fight to endure until the evening. I am exhausted, physically and mentally.

For many years the doctors have been telling me that I have to accept that, take my medicines and live. Nobody made me aware that this disease wreaks havoc on the body and that it certainly cannot be left unattended. Although it is not cancer, in terms of histopathology, it behaves like one. It destroys everything in its way.

Fortunately, I have finally met a doctor who not only has the knowledge and competence, but also wisdom and understanding. He helped me believe that I do not have to live this way. Thanks to him I regained hope...

Unfortunately, endometriosis has spread inside my body. It is in my intestines, bladder, peritoneum and uterosacral ligament. For this reason, a team of experienced professionals is needed for this surgery.

There is a reason why these procedures are called “the Mount Everest of surgery”. This complex surgery is not reimbursed by the Polish National Health Fund, and only a complex surgery, which means a radical removal off all endometriosis cells (and not only the ones covered by the Polish National Health Funds), may be potentially successful.

I will do everything to cover some of the costs of this surgery but I am not able to gather the whole amount.
