That day our world stopped… we are fighting for a better tomorrow for our brother!

When I heard a voice on the phone saying that Chris had an accident, that he fell from his bike and crushed his head, and he was in the medical helicopter on the way to the hospital, and it looked bad… I wanted to believe it must have been a mistake. I was shocked and scared. Our whole world stopped… 

Earlier that day, Chris went for a bike ride with his friend. They wanted to make the best of their vacation. They both loved to take long distances. They had merely several kilometers left to their destination—a place to stay overnight. Suddenly, Chris fell and hit his head on the pavement. 

His condition was so serious that he had to be transported to the hospital in Rzeszów by medical helicopter. He underwent urgent surgery to decompress the hematoma in his brain. 

Chris suffered from multiple skull, rib, femur, and collarbone fractures.

Since then, everything has changed. Chris, my brother, has always been strong, constantly proved we should never give up, and showed us how to live life to the fullest.

In one moment, he became an ICU patient put on a ventilator. It breaks my heart to see him like that. 

I know that the doctors did their best to save Chris. Since he experienced too many serious injuries, he remains in critical condition, though. We must fight for his recovery as hard as he once did to pursue his dreams. He requires constant assistance and rehabilitation. We are racing against time. The sooner he starts the rehabilitation program, the higher chances for a better outcome.  

It can only be provided by private facilities, though. A monthly cost is ca. 15,000 Polish zlotys! We cannot afford it, so we need to ask you for help. For many years, Chris helped others and fought to obtain resources for rehabilitation camps and therapies for people with disabilities! Now he requires it himself.
