Kuba is fighting for recovery! Let's help him undergo the surgery!

Kuba's birth was both a happy and stressful moment - when we were pregnant, a lot of health issues were detected. 

Our fears were valid - although he was born seemingly healthy, the first worrying symptoms appeared upon his first attempts to stand up or walk. It turned out that our son had cerebral palsy spastic diplegia, which is a disorder that causes muscles in the legs to be tense.

At 2,5 years old, he underwent a selective dorsal rhizotomy, which improved his motor function and removed spasticity. Although after surgery, our little son had to learn how to walk again, he was very determined to do so! 

Kuba's growth has increased significantly over the past couple of years. He is using orthoses daily, however his endurance and stability is well below that of his peers. Also, his right foot started to twist inward. 

Despite these limitations, Kuba does not give up and continues to fulfill his passion - scuba diving. As it turns out, his disability disappears underwater! We are so proud of him - he's more advanced than many adult divers! 

Unfortunately, he still requires a foot surgery. We would like him to undergo the procedure at the Paley European Institute, where he would be operated on by an orthopedic surgeon experienced in treating children with cerebral palsy and with selective dorsal rhizotomy. 

Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure and post-surgery rehabilitation is enormous! We believe in raising the required funds and enabling Kuba's recovery together! We are asking you for help! Thank you for every donation!
