Kubuś still needs help to win with this insidious disease. Because of it, the immune system, instead of fighting infections, attacks its own body!

Our story:

What do you picture in your mind when you are thinking about a disabled child? A wheelchair? Paresis? Kubuś is a cheerful boy and does not seem to be disabled at the first glance. Encephalitis is doing more and more damages and deprives our son of the chance to live a regular life! 

Kubuś was born healthy and had a score of 10 on the Apgar test. His problems started when he was approximately two years old. Then, his development started decreasing. At first, he was diagnosed with autism. After some time, due to our determination and many expensive medical tests, we discovered something more – autoimmune encephalitis and myelitis. This disease is really dreadful...

Kuba’s immune system is very weak. Even in the course of the slightest viral or bacterial infection, pathogens attack bis nervous system causing difficult to manage hyperactivity, facial tics, emotional dysregulation, anxiety and short-term memory issues. 

Kubuś requires help provided by many medical specialists. His health condition needs constant monitoring. We need funds for his expensive, specialist treatment, consultations, therapies and rehabilitation stays.
