Help for Lea!

Book pregnancy, delivery on time. Nothing foretold that our daughter's condition would be so bad.... There was no first scream, there was no enjoying ourselves. Instead, there was fear, two strokes and the intensive care unit where Lea spent the following weeks...

Lea had her first stroke the day she was born, and her second the next day. She ended up in the ICU, where she spent the next weeks fighting for her life!

Because of what happened at the very beginning, Lea suffers from tetraplegia, epilepsy, left-sided paresis and an inoperable left hand, as well as a paralyzed palate and tongue.

The daughter does not speak or walk, she has problems with chewing and swallowing. For the time being, she gets to know the world from a wheelchair or on her knees. Almost from the very beginning we have been doing everything we can to make her independent.

Lea is full of hope and determination - we can see how much she would like to walk, run, talk, laugh and enjoy life. Today we know that intensive rehabilitation is still not enough. Doctors agree that Lea has great chances to walk. Stem cell therapy may help.

As parents, we want to take advantage of every possibility offered by modern medicine. We are grasping at every hope! We are afraid that this is the last chance we have left... Most probably as many as three series of cells will be necessary, but for now we are dreaming to collect the necessary amount of money, at least for one.

We are asking for help, for a chance for Lea to walk on her own!
