Help for Leos!

2021 was supposed to be a beautiful time, because with my husband and our older son Antoś, we were expecting the birth of our second child. Everything was fine until the 13th week, when with all our family we happily went for prenatal tests. I left the tests with tremendous pain, crying, and suffering because I was informed that my son would be born with a complex heart defect. Our little baby who was growing under my heart. Leoś was born with a complex and evolving heart defect: right ventricular hypoplasia, VSD, tricuspid valve overriding, and an abnormal structure of the subvalvular apparatus. He needs consecutive cardiac surgeries to make his life easier. Currently, Leoś has undergone the first surgery – the narrowing of the pulmonary artery trunk, which took place at the Polish Mother's Memorial Hospital (Centrum Zdrowia Matki Polki w Łodzi) in Łódź. However, there are more surgeries waiting for him... It is not known yet whether there will be one or two of them.

Doctors are fighting for the heart's right ventricle. In the least optimistic scenario, there will be a surgery, ending with Fontana's operation, which is to transform Leoś's heart into a single-chamber heart. This surgery is complicated and carries risks and burdens for the body, but it is necessary. To make it as safe as possible, we look for help everywhere, also abroad. This requires raising a large sum of money, so we are begging you for help. The life and health of our baby is the most important, we will not be able to do it without help. We are asking for your support in collecting the money Leoś needs to enjoy life. At the moment Leoś is under the constant care of cardiologists who regularly check his health and circulatory efficiency. Thank you for all your help.

Un esercito di buoni cuori necessari per salvare un piccolo cuore! Aiutiamo Leos!

Il 2021 doveva essere un periodo bellissimo, perché con mio marito e nostro figlio maggiore Antoś ci aspettavamo la nascita di un secondo figlio. Tutto andava bene fino alla tredicesima settimana, quando siamo andati felicemente con tutta la nostra famiglia per i test prenatali. Sono partita con un pianto tremendo, dolore e sofferenza perché ho saputo che mio figlio sarebbe nato con un difetto cardiaco complesso. Il nostro piccolo bambino che cresce sotto il mio cuore. Leoś è nato con un difetto cardiaco complesso e in evoluzione: ipoplasia ventricolare destra, VSD, override della valvola tricuspide e una struttura anormale dell'apparato sottovalvolare. Ha bisogno di più interventi cardiaci per semplificargli la vita. Attualmente Leoś è stato sottoposto al primo intervento di restringimento del tronco dell'arteria polmonare, che avrebbe potuto avvenire presso il Polish Mother's Health Center di Łódź. Tuttavia, altri lo sta aspettando ..., non si sa se sarà uno o due.

I medici stanno combattendo per il ventricolo destro del cuore. Nello scenario meno ottimistico,  attenderà un'operazione, che si concluderà con l'operazione di Fontana, che consiste nel trasformare il cuore di Leoś in un cuore monocamerale. Questa operazione è complicata e comporta rischi e oneri per il suo corpo, ma è necessaria. Per renderlo il più sicuro possibile, cerchiamo aiuto ovunque, anche all'estero. Ciò richiede la raccolta di una grossa somma di denaro, quindi ti chiediamo aiuto. La vita e la salute del nostro bambino è la cosa più importante, non saremo in grado di farlo senza aiuto.
