Fundraiser description
In her short life, Lilka has already underwent four surgeries. We had hoped that each one of them would improve her health. Unfortunately, instead of helping, they only worsened the condition of our daughter. As parents, we cannot allow for Lilka to look at her deformed face, the source of a terrible pain, in a mirror for the rest of her life!
When Lilka was born, we could embrace her with our hands, she was so small! She weighed 1800 grams and had only 38 cm. Instead of congratulations and happiness, there were only many gruesome diagnoses. The doctors did not think that she could survive – “Say goodbye to your child, you have a couple of weeks left…” However, Lilka surprised everyone with her will to live…
This difficult start has left our daughter with many challenges. The most difficult of them is a cleft lip and palate. The doctors in our country tried to reconstruct it a couple of times but each time the result of these surgeries was a nightmare! The stitches in Lilka’s mouth did not hold which caused severe pain and impacted the deformity of her face...

Lilka cannot eat or speak normally. She cannot breathe at night! We could not helplessly watch her suffering, so we started looking for help abroad. We have finished some therapies in various clinics and the results are excellent. This progress was accompanied by hope and belief that Lilka’s life does not have be filled with endless misery...
During the years of treatment, she underwent transformation, just like a butterfly, from a disabled child into a happy, active, curious and smart girl who loves dancing, drawing and learning new things. She was also given one particularly important chance...

They are waiting for Lilka in a famous Spanish hospital for children, „Saint Joan De Déu”. The doctors from this hospital are the ONLY ones who want to try to reconstruct Lilka’s jaw. In order for our daughter’s health issues to be resolved, she will have to undergo more than one course of treatment and a series of surgeries. The priority is for Lilka to function normally – to breathe, swallow and speak without pain. Then, the specialist are going to take care of the aesthetics.
We have one goal: before our daughter turns 18, we want to overcome all her health issues and we will secure the beginning of a long and happy life for her. In order to do that, we need your help! Only by working together, we can make the biggest dream come true – the dream about Lila’s health.
