My daughter is 12 years old and she was diagnosed with one of the rarest and most aggressive childhood cancers. There is no standard treatment for this disease...Each remission means pain, fear and more difficult fight. I am begging for your help. I do not want to lose my beloved daughter!
In January 2024 r. Lilou was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, lymph node and bone marrow metastases… The prognosis is poor.
Three weeks ago, the doctors told me it was over… Chemotherapy was stopped because Lilou was in bad condition. We were told she had only a few days to live! She did not give up. She is the bravest fighter – I think that some adults would not be able to bear this...
The doctors resumed chemotherapy but they say directly that the public health service cannot help Lilou. We have to look for help abroad. We were clearly informed that without alternative treatment methods, Lilou will inevitably die. This vision gives me excruciating pain, fear and an overwhelming sense of helplessness.
We find the biggest hope in the treatment in the USA. But we are also looking for other possibilities. We are in touch with many doctors and we are trying to find the best solutions. We have to try every possibility because this is the only chance for Lilou to live...
Lilou does everything to recover from the disease. Despite really strong chemotherapy, she is trying to eat, move, take care of herself. She simply wants to live. When she feels stronger, she puts a scarf on her head and takes care of the younger children at hospital, comforts them when they are crying. She is so good, mature and bears all this bravely...Many people call her a miracle because despite these horrific experiences, she does everything she can to live.
I never thought we would find ourselves in this reality...Please, help me save my child. Lilou is only 12 years old – she just wants to be a child. She wants to sing, play and learn like other children...She wants to live...
